DAY TO DAY LIVING

How we handle the pressures and demands of our daily life has a huge impact on our wellbeing and happiness. We all want to have more strength and resilience, more ease and flow when it comes to managing our day to day - and less stress, anxiety and overwhelm. In particular, we want a greater ability to bounce back and move forward when things don’t go the way we planned and the unexpected happens (which as we all know, often does).

Give the following statements a score out of 10. 1 = Disagree 10 = Agree

1. I often feel anxious and overwhelmed.
2. I want to change my life but I don’t want a list of things to do that require discipline and more effort.
3. I wish I were more resilient and could bounce back from things easily.
4. I feel like my levels of stress, frustration and disappointment keep piling up no matter what I do.
5. I think stress is an unavoidable part of life.
6. I always feel busy and rushed, and I am tired of the constant pushing.
7. I have trouble sleeping.
8. I struggle to find time for myself.

RELATIONSHIPS

The quality of our relationships, with ourselves and others, is directly connected to our happiness and wellbeing. As human beings, we thrive when we feel connected, when we know that we matter, and that the people in our lives feel better when we’re around. And we suffer when we feel disconnected, when we feel like we don’t belong. To be understood and accepted by the people we care about, to love and be loved in return, is a fundamental part of the human experience.

Give the following statements a score out of 10. 1 = Disagree 10 = Agree

1. I have high expectations of myself and the people around me.
2. I constantly worry about what other people think or say about me.
3. I often judge myself on how I handle situations in my life.
4. I avoid confrontation wherever possible.
5. When I am upset or worried about something I think about it constantly, analysing every possible outcome.
6. I usually put other people’s needs before my own.
7. I often compare myself to others.
8. When I am upset, I find it difficult to calm down and let it go.

MEANING AND PURPOSE

A sense of meaning and purpose is at the heart of everything we do. It’s about who we are in this world and what drives us, what keeps us going. Without this deeper connection to something bigger than ourselves, something that goes beyond the material, beyond the trappings of success and our day to day, life can feel directionless and empty. It gives us a greater sense of connectedness to life, ourselves and the people around us.

Give the following statements a score out of 10. 1 = Disagree 10 = Agree

1. I often feel as though there must be more to life.
2. I often feel like my life is stuck in the same mindless daily routine. I often feel bored and uninspired.
3. I always imagined I would feel more fulfilled and accomplished by this stage of my life.
4. I am always searching for the next thing to achieve, because whenever I reach a goal, the sense of fulfilment never lasts.
5. My mood constantly swings from happiness to sadness to anger and frustration to overwhelm, and it’s getting harder to manage them.
6. I am always looking for ways to escape, either through watching too much TV, eating or drinking too much, or trying to control myself and others.
7. I don’t have enough clarity around how to live a life of wellbeing and fulfilment.
8. I find it hard to be present in the 'moment'.
